Bokeh Boulevard
With a central focus on people and urban landscapes, this photographic project explores the convergence of Impressionism and the delicate fluidity of watercolor, reimagined through the medium of photography. At its heart is the idea of impermanence, the fleeting nature of life, human presence, and the world around us.
Photography is traditionally associated with the act of preserving a moment, of fixing time and holding it still. This project explores the opposite: what happens when photography is used not to stop time, but to reveal its passage.
The project draws from the pictorialist tradition, embracing photography as a medium capable of evoking rather than simply describing reality. The resulting images exist somewhere between presence and disappearance, suggesting that what we experience is constantly changing. Long exposure becomes both a photographic technique and a metaphor for the transience of life.
Ultimately, this project asks photography to confront its own paradox: a medium traditionally used to preserve what is gone, yet capable of revealing that nothing can truly be preserved, attempting to make impermanence visible, to transform the passing of time into form, movement, and atmosphere, and to evoke the fragile, beautiful uncertainty of simply being present.
The project is in a solo exhibition in the meta verse, from May 23 until July 31, 2025. You can access the exhibition here.
